TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
Open to all players who qualify in their age group as of tournament date.
FORMAT: Waterfall format will be used. Everyone will start in A, with first round losers dropping to ‘C’ category. Second round losers in ‘A’ will drop to ‘B’ category. First round losers in ‘C’ category will drop to ‘D’ category. Everyone is guaranteed three matches per event.
SHUTTLES: 1 Yonex AS-20 will be provided for each match. Please bring own shuttles.
PRIZES: Trophies will be given for all A & B winners/runner-ups. Medals will be given for all C & D winner/runner-ups. (Daily Draw prizes also given away)
RULES: Badminton BC and Badminton Canada rules and regulations in effect – 10 minutes default rule applies & 3 minutes warm-ups. Seedings based on Provincial Ranking in BC.
TOURNAMENT FEES: $28 1st event, $35 for 2 events, $40 for a maximum of 3 events. Players cannot play two of the same events (i.e. men’s doubles in U18 and Open). Tournament T Shirt is included. Sizes available are Sm/Med/Lg/XL. Please note that – Players not selecting a T-shirt size WILL NOT receive a tournament T-shirt. Payments can be made at Richmond Browngate or online.
Entry deadline: Fri. Mar. 15th, 2013, 11:59pm. Local time. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. For Doubles and Mixed Doubles, Tournament Organizer will only accept entries from both players as valid entries except requests.
PLAYING SCHEDULE
Day 1- Friday Mar. 29th – 5pm start – Singles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
Day 2- Saturday Mar. 30th – 9am start – Mixed Doubles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
Day 3- Sunday Mar. 31st – 9am start – Doubles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
