Tournament Information – Open to all players qualify by age as of Tournament Day. Players must be under the age of the age group entered to qualify. For 80+ & 100+ Events, each team’s combined age has to be over the age of 80 & 100 to qualify. Players may compete in up to a maximum of four events but may only enter a maximum of TWO singles, TWO doubles with SAME partner or TWO mixed doubles with SAME partner. There are consolations for 1st round losers for all events. For players competing in two singles, two doubles, or two mixed, the resting time between matches will be limited to 5 minutes only. Medals for 1st place, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Prizes for consolation winners and lots of daily draw prizes for all participants.
Rules of Badminton BC and Badminton Canada in effect – 10 minutes default rule applies & 3 minutes warm-ups. Seedings based on Provincial Ranking and Previous C1 Tournament Results
Tournament Fees: 1st Event – $35.00 / 2nd Events – $10.00 / 3rd and 4th Event $5 each
(1 event $35 / 2 events $45/ 3 events $50 / 4 events $55) and a Tournament T Shirt is included.
Sizes available are Xs/Sm/Med/Lg/XL.
**Please note that – Players not selecting a T-shirt size WILL NOT receive a tournament T-shirt.
Entry deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 26th, 2012 local time. Unpaid entries will not be included in the draws.
LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. For Doubles and Mixed Doubles, Tournament Organizer will only accept entries from both players as valid entries except requests. SURCHARGE OF $10 FOR ANY PAYMENTS MADE ON TOURNAMENT DAY.
SHUTTLES: Only 1 Yonex shuttle will be provided for each match and 2 for semi- finals . U10 & U12 categories will use nylon shuttles.
Runners: Non-Marking Runners only.
PLAYING SCHEDULE **Depends on the size of entries, C1 Leslie may be used for singles and doubles events.**
Day 1- Saturday October 6th – 9am start – Singles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
Day 2- Sunday October 7th – 9am start – Doubles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
Day 3- Monday October 8th – 9am start – Mixed Doubles – All events to finals and consolation finals.
